INDIGO COMEDY | CHARLIE GEORGE
Thur 16 June @ The Architect
ABOUT
THE NIGHT
Cheeky smiles, sass & friendly faces. Our events combine social drinks with some of the best national queer talent.
Indigo is renowned for a friendly vibe, we welcome everyone from students to professionals, from artists to lawyers.
Many women come on their own to Indigo events, for some, it’s their first curious venture into a whole new world, others arrive with friends, colleagues or partners. Everyone is offered the same warm welcome, and a new network of friends.
Social drinks follow the performance.
CHARLIE GEORGE
Charlie George is an award-winning stand-up comedian & writer.
Scooping up all the pre-covid awards going, in 2019 Charlie was named LGBTQ+ New Comedian, Funny Women Runner-Up, and Leicester Square New Comedian. Charlie has performed stand-up on the BBC Asian Network, BBC No Country for Young Women Podcast, and taken to the stage on Comedy Central.
Charlie started out as a circus performer and dancer, before turning to comedy to find her voice. Turns out her voice is a lot like an 18th century white man’s trapped inside the body of a queer brown lady.
‘hilarious and no messin’ BBC
Quick-witted Charlie wasn’t going to let a pandemic get in the way, she’s recently written for Charlie Brooks, Have I Got News for You, The Now Show and Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back.
